Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series Forza Edition
Description
Limited to 350 units, the SL 65 AMG Black Series was introduced in 2009 as a high-performance special of the fifth generation SL-Class. Typical for Black Series models, which represent the fastest models of a particular AMG lineup, it sports aggressive styling inspired by DTM race cars and a staggering power output of 661 hp (493 kW), making it the most powerful production car by Mercedes-Benz to date.
The SL 65 AMG Black Series is powered by a six liter (5,980 cc) twin-turbocharged V12 engine, codenamed M275 AMG. Fitted with air-to-liquid intercoolers and operating with a boost pressure of 22.1 psi (1,52 bar), the engine delivers supercar-crushing numbers that include 661 hp (493 kW) at 5400 rpm and 738 ft·lb (1001 N·m) of torque from 2200 to 4200 rpm. A variation of this engine would later be used in the Pagani Huayra.
The Forza Edition is an upgraded variant featuring a Drift Skills boost and a stock Performance Index of S1 820. It comes with a S2 931 upgrade preset. It can be bought from the skill tree of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé.
